Preclinical Imaging Instruments临床前成像仪器
In the fall of 2011 we introduced to the scientific imaging community a new innovative research tool, called the Animal Management System (AHS). It is a multiple component, patented, suite of technologies for true high throughput preclinical imaging in a multi-modality laboratory environment. These instruments were created to solve the persistent issues associated with multi-modality imaging, including repeatable specimen body position day after day for longitudinal studies, containment for BSL-2 work, easy and quick loading of the animal onto the bed, and a patent methodology for transporting and interfacing the animal, in a highly repeatable manner (better than 50 microns) to a variety of different scanner/modalities including CT, PET, SPEC, MRI and Optical (FTM). One of the core foundational advancements is the patented coupling system which allows for the novel patent pending bed to be interface to any research tool if given the proper positioning receive assembly. The “Plug and Scan™” system when engage allows for physiological monitoring, thermal regulation, and anesthesia to communicate to the animal instantaneously, one no longer needs to disconnect and reconnect a porliferia of tubing and leads, everything required for most studies is integrated into the core system component. These systems represent an innovative approach to the loading, handling and containment of animal models in the preclinical imaging environment. These instruments epitomize the concept of Life Sciences Research Tools “Designed by Scientist for Scientist”.
