Q-VD-(OMe)-Ph is a second-generation capase inhibitor that is highly potent, brain and cell permeable, irreversible and nontoxic. Q-VD-(OMe)-Ph can inhibit caspase-3 ( IC50=25 nm), caspase-1 (IC50=50 nM), caspase-8 (IC50=100 nM) and caspase-9 (IC50=430 nM).
