MTSEA Biotin, a biotinylated methanethiosulfonate ethylamine reagent, is a thiol-reactive reagent used to label cysteine residues in proteins. MTSEA Biotin labeling is useful to study the structure, function and conformation of biomolecules such as transporters and enzymes.
Reacts specifically and rapidly with thiols to form mixed disulfides. Used to probe the structures of the ACh receptor channel of the GABA receptor channel and of lactose permease. MTSEA-biotin has recently been used to probe the topology of the serotonin (5-HT) transporter by site-directed chemical labelling.
MTSEA-biotin is a thiol-reactive probe that can be used to label proteins at cysteine residues.MTSEA-biotin是一种硫醇反应探针,可用于标记Cysteine残基处的蛋白质。
