Liver tissues were excised, weighed about 0.5 g and homogenized with pre-chilled saline and centrifuged at 3500 r/min for 10 min at 4 ◦C to obtain the supernatant. Corresponding ELISA kits for UA, BUN, Cr, PGE2, TNF-α, interleukin-6 (IL-6), and XO were acquired from Shanghai Huding Biological Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Following associated directions, we quantified the serum UA, BUN, Cr, and inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α, PGE2, and IL-1β), as well as the XO in liver homogenates and UA in urine.
