Packaging materials are any material employed the packaging of products. They are used to protect its inside content for distribution, storage, sale and use. Mechanical properties of packaging materials are assessed for different end-use application, e.g. to evaluate the maximal internal pressurization, the strength of the seals, the resistance to puncture, etc.
